What to expect from your visit with Advent Physical Therapy in Alpine

Our Advent Physical Therapy team believes every patient is unique. Nobody receives a cookie-cutter treatment plan. We work with you to diagnose the cause of your pain and develop a customized treatment plan designed to help you achieve your individual goals.

During your first appointment, we’ll perform a thorough physical examination of the impacted areas. Our physical therapists will also review your medical history and ask you some questions about your health and lifestyle. All this information helps us to develop a complete treatment plan.

Appointments usually last around one hour. You’ll likely receive instructions for some stretches and exercises to perform at home between appointments. For the best results, you should follow these instructions carefully and seriously. Your physical therapist may also use other therapy methods during your session, including: 

• Manual therapy
• Instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM)
• Cupping
• McKenzie Method^®

Our physical therapists can even help you from home thanks to our virtual therapy and at-home care services. Additionally, we don’t require that you have a referral from your doctor before you start a therapy plan with us.
