What to look forward to at your first Advent Physical Therapy appointment
Our staff at Advent Physical Therapy cares about each of our patients and understands they require unique treatment. You’ll never receive cookie-cutter treatment from us. Your physical therapist will work with you to develop a treatment plan specifically tailored to your needs.
At your first appointment, your physical therapist will perform a free screening, including physical tests, a medical review and some questions about your overall well-being. Once your screening is complete, your physical therapist will develop a course of treatment for you, and this treatment plan can include therapy methods like:
- Pelvic floor rehab
- Balance training
- Instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM)
- Cupping
- McKenzie Method®
- Ergonomics recommendations
- Manual therapy
At the end of your appointment, you may be given instructions for home exercises. Following these instructions should help you achieve your recovery goals more quickly. Your physical therapist may also talk to you about other therapy options that you can use from home, such as virtual therapy and at-home care appointments.
