I was fortunate to have a few home appointments of physical therapy after my hip surgery in July. Nick Mason was assigned to me and I appreciated him all around. He was very attentive to my needs and progress, explaining along the way the steps we were taking and the goals to strive for. My doctor referred me to Advent Physical Therapy.  I've been there for two weeks and already my pain is reduced.  I'm confident I will meet my personal goals with the guidance and support I am receiving.  Nick Mason accurately diagnosed what the issue was so my exercises are tailored to my needs. The staff is very friendly and they provide you with the means of continuing your exercises at home. I worked with Olivia and she was wonderful and took the time to make sure I understood how to properly do the exercises at home to continue the progress we’ve made. I had always scoffed at  stories of the benefits of Physical Therapy, thinking that I knew the limitations and capabilities of my body better than anyone else. Was I wrong! Although leery of the place and staff at first, I found excellent facilities, a caring and totally professional staff and most importantly "what they had me do worked". Not at once and no instant successes, but if I did what they said and when they told me; my aching shoulder with limited range, works like normal now and I am stronger for it. I have been a patient of Advent Downtown a few times now. I primarily worked with Nick, Mark and Matt (before he moved away).  I honestly wouldn't recommend anywhere else.  I played high school baseball and wrestled, and the injuries that came from those, they were able to help rehab me through them, and come out better and stronger than I was pre-injury.  This last time I was there, Nick and Mark were able to help get me ready for my senior season of baseball.  They also helped me become proactive on strength and conditioning and getting ready for college ball.  If I were to need to go back again, I wouldn't hesitate on where to go, it would definitely be here.

Doing PT right now at Advent downtown and I am 2 weeks post shoulder surgery, was supposed to be in a sling for 4 weeks and Met with surgeon's office this morning and he was so pleased with flexibility and strength that he told me I could take sling off drive again...just wear when you sleep. I attest alot of this to the fantastic surgeon I had; but alot of this goes to the regiment that Advent put me thru, great bunch of physical therapists who make PT enjoyable and the hour goes by quickly.
