So I came to Advent PT in Standale because I was going to have hip surgery and my pain level  was 8-10 pretty bad, had two hip injections with no relief. I have been in therapy and my life has turned around. My pain level is now 3 and I can walk over a mile and have resumed my fitness class and yoga class. Added:  I have added a fourth experience with the same wonderful results.  I worked with Wendy and she was great.   She gave me home exercises so I can maintain and improve the results. I am into my third experience with Advent and I would not get PT anywhere else.  Each time I've required therapy they have been up to the challenge.  This time is no exception.  All of the staff is cheerful and professional which makes the patient feel special.  Currently I am working with Hannah and she is the best.

I had a really positive experience working with my physical therapist Alex Forbes for pelvic floor treatment. From the start, they created a comfortable and respectful environment, which made it much easier to talk about something that can feel pretty personal. Alex was extremely knowledgeable and took the time to explain what was going on with my body in a way that actually made sense. The treatment plan felt tailored to me, and I never felt rushed during appointments. They also gave me practical exercises and guidance that I could continue at home, which made a big difference in my progress. Over time, I noticed real improvements, not just physically but in my overall confidence and comfort as well. I’m really grateful for  Alex's professionalism, patience, and support throughout the process. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone dealing with pelvic floor issues. Thank you Alex. *THIS IS A RECOMMENDATION FOR THE SUITE ON THREE MILE ROAD NW*  A debilitating shoulder injury landed me in physical therapy for nine weeks around the 2025 holidays. I was in substantial pain, and as I compensated for the weakened shoulder and arm by overusing the other side of my body, my alignment was out of balance. I hurt all over for months and needed relief because I was tired all the time and was dancing with depression. The team at Advent PT on the NW side of GR acknowledged my pain immediately and started me on a course of treatment tailored to my specific needs. (The only commitments you need to make to yourself are to show up and do the exercises as instructed.) As the weeks went on, I progressed slowly and steadily, thanks to the outstanding physical therapists at the Comstock Park location. Becky, Izzy, and Jake interact very well with patients and each other. They listened to concerns and addressed them if required. I appreciate their knowledge and the effort it takes to study at a graduate level, and I believe that they are the catalysts that turned my chronic shoulder pain around. This is my 5th time coming to Advent Physical Therapy. Each time physical therapists have helped me determine the problem and increase my strength within a few weeks.
